 Reparations from Germany to Poland for crimes committed during World War II

The Coalition of Polish Americans calls upon the government of Germany to immediately commit to signing the peace treaty with Poland, including issues of borders between the two countries and reparations for the damages inflicted by Germany during World War II.

We want to remind Germany and world powers that became victorious in this worldwide conflict that Poland was the first and the greatest victim of German military aggression during World War II, sustaining the highest losses of its population and the greatest material losses in proportion to all the other countries affected by the German occupation.

Furthermore, the mass extermination of the civilian population of Poland was planned by Germany long before World War II. It started in the first days following the invasion of Poland in September 1939 and lasted until the end of the war in 1945. This extermination goal served to fulfill the German doctrine of Lebensraum, the purpose of which was the expansion of German living space at the expense of Slavic nations, including the deliberate destruction of the Polish people.

In this context, we must recall that on August 22, 1939, chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler, ordered his commanders to murder “without pity or mercy, all men, women, and children of Polish descent or language.”  On March 15, 1940, the leader of the SS, Heinrich Himmler, stated that “all Poles will disappear from this world. It is imperative that the great German volk consider the elimination of all Polish people as its chief task.”

The German state has not undertaken a comprehensive settlement of reparations and compensation for the deliberate destruction of the Polish state, the immense loss of life, and suffering endured by millions of Polish citizens. Poland is estimated to have lost at least 5.2 million of its citizens murdered by the Germans during World War II. By the end of the war, about 2.8 million Polish citizens had been deported to Germany for forced labor, about 2 million had been forcibly evicted from their homes, and about 1 million had been imprisoned in concentration camps and other detention facilities; and

It is also important to remember that during the first days of the heroic Polish Warsaw Uprising, the German army carried out a systemic, genocidal, and most brutal operation in the Wola district of Warsaw, which led to the murder of an estimated 50,000 civilians—men, women, and children. This murderous carnage, known as the Wola Massacre, was never punished through any judicial action. These atrocities carried out in Wola serve as a stark symbol of the heinous and brutal acts committed by German occupying forces, yet represent only one example of the widespread and systemic violence inflicted across occupied Polish territory between 1939 and 1945; and

We must be aware that Germany has provided compensation to nearly 70 countries, including an estimated $250 billion to Holocaust victims of World War II and, more recently, a $1.2 billion settlement with Namibia for colonial-era atrocities, but has effectively ignored Poland.

Regarding the aforementioned facts, the Coalition of Polish Americans would like to urge the government of the Federal Republic of Germany to immediately commit to a comprehensive program of reparations and compensation to Poland for the devastation and losses brought by the German occupation during World War II, including compensation for the families and heirs of the victims.

Germany should commit funds towards the creation of a memorial in Berlin honoring the Polish victims of the German occupation during World War II, and a memorial in Warsaw dedicated to the victims of the Wola Massacre that would serve as an international acknowledgment of the murder of approximately 50,000 civilians in Wola. These memorial projects shall receive the approval of the Presidents of both the Republic of Poland and the Federal Republic of Germany.

We call for the creation of a Joint Commission for the Return of Lost Art and Artifacts to assist Poland in recovering artworks and historical documentation looted during the German occupation from 1939 to 1945. The Commission should be funded by the German state and staffed by qualified experts designated by the Presidents of both countries.  The Commission must affirm the principle that looted art can never lawfully become the property of the thief, nor be transferred through inheritance, and ensure that individuals or entities dealing in art looted during World War II should be prosecuted and face criminal penalties.

And finally, and most importantly, the Coalition of Polish Americans calls on Germany to sign a peace treaty with Poland, officially recognizing Poland’s western borders. The territories transferred to Poland after World War II were part of the finalized war settlement intended to compensate Poland for the loss of its eastern territories to the Soviet Union, a loss made possible by the Ribbentrop–Molotov pact that allied Germany with the Soviet Union and led to their joint invasion of Poland in September 1939. Therefore, these territory transfers cannot be construed as compensation for the destruction, atrocities, and material losses inflicted upon Poland and its people during the German occupation from 1939 to 1945.

w obronie Macieja Świrskiego

25 lipca 2025 roku do dzień hańby Sejmu III Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej, to dzień, który symbolizuje ostateczny upadek moralny III RP.

Po raz pierwszy w historii III RP Polski Sejm zagłosował za postawieniem przed Trybunałem Stanu funkcjonariusza państwowego, Przewodniczącego Krajowej Rady Radiofonii i Telewizji, Macieja Świrskiego.

Nie był to jednak funkcjonariusz państwowy ewidentnie działający na szkodę interesu Polski na arenie miedzynarodowej. Nie był to ktoś odpowiedzialny za zablokowanie śledztwa smoleńskiego, ani też jawnie i otwarcie działający na szkodę polskiej gospodarki od lat. Taka kara nie spotkała rówież funkcjonariuszy państwowych, którzy w sposób bezwzględny niszczą polską tożsamość narodową i polską kulturę, z premedytacją redefiniują polską historię na szkodę Polski, oficjalnie deprawują młode pokolenie czy eliminują klasykę polskiej literaturty z programów szkolnych.

To nie są przestępstwa godne uwagi obecnej większości sejmowej III RP. Te przestępstwa przeciw Polskiej Racji Stanu dla obecnej większości sejmowej nie są istotne ponieważ to właśnie rząd przez nich wyłoniony formalnie usunął termin „Polska Racja Stanu” ze  słownika dopuszczalnej terminologii pro-rządowych mediów!

Dlatego też przestępstwa przeciw Polskiej Racji Stanu są dziś politycznie akceptowalne a ich sprawcy cieszą się pełną bezkarnością. Natomiast zdecydowane i skuteczne działanie w obronie Polskiej Racji Stanu jest uznawane przez tę większość sejmową za najcięższe z przestępstw.

25 lipca 2025 roku większość sejmowa III RP zagłosowała za postawieniem przed Trubunałem Stanu Macieja Świrskiego za wstrzymanie finansowania Telewizji Publicznej po jej bezprawnym, siłowym przejęciu przez rząd Donalda Tuska.

tak więc wspierany przez większość sejmową rząd, który ostentacyjnie złamał prawo przejmując siłowo Telewizję Publiczną, stawia przed Trybunałem Stanu funkcjonariusza państwowego, który temu bezprawiu się przeciwstawił.

Jest więc oczywiste, że Macieja Świrskiego dosięga zemsta polityczna za bezkompormisową obronę prawa, pluralizmu medialnego w Polsce, szaleńcza zemsta za obronę wolności słowa oraz wolnych mediów będących głosem większości Polaków!

Na domiar złego, ta polityczna zemsta środowisk globalistyczno-lewicowych dosięga osoby, która jest szczególnie i jakże niezwykle zasłużona w obronie Polskiej Racji Stanu, polskiej polityki historycznej,  polskiej tożsamości narodowej oraz dobrego imienia Polski i Polaków na arenie międzynarodowej.

Wiadomo bowiem, że Maciej Świrski to jedna z najwybitniejszych współczesnych postaci działających na rzecz Polskiej Racji Stanu. Jest legendarnym założycielem Reduty Dobrego Imienia, jednym z najwybitniejszych współczenych  intelektualistów polskiego obozu patriotycznego.

Postawienie Macieja Świrskiego przed Trybunałem Stanu jest jaskrawym przykładem politycznej zemsty, która nie tylko podważa zasady demokratycznego państwa prawa, ale także atakuje fundamentalne nasze wartości i polską tożsamość narodową, atakuje za obronę dobrego imienia Polski i Polaków, za obronę Polskiej Racji Stanu. Walka o te wartości wymaga nie tylko odwagi ale i determinacji w obliczu konsolidacji wrogich antypaństwowych sił.

Maciej Świrski stanowi poważne zagrożenie dla obecnych władz w Polsce ponieważ jest wybitnym, skutecznym i bezkompromisowym polskim patriotą.

To właśnie tacy ludzie, sktueczni, zdeterminowani polscy patrioci, są obecnie w III RP najbardziej prześladowani przez zideologizowane środowiska ojkofobiczne dążace do zniszczenie polskiej państwowości oraz polskiej tożsamosci narodowej przy wsparciu Brukseli i Berlina.

Instytut Polonia reprezentuąjcy patriotyczne środowiska polskie w Stanach Zjednoczonych z całą mocą potępia rażąco niesprawiedliwą, politycznie motywowaną decyzję większości sejmowej X Kadenji Sejmu III RP.

Wzywamy wszystkich polskich patriotów w kraju i poza jego granicami do aktywnej obrony Przewodniczącego KRRiT Macieja Świrskiego, wszystkich prześladowanych liderów polskiego ruchu patriotycznego oraz  wszystkich osób prześladowanych za działania na rzecz Polskiej Racji Stanu.

Wspierajmy ich we wszytkich mediach, na forach internetowych, w systemie YouTube oraz w akcjach protestacyjnych. Apelujmy na arenie międzynarodowej o powstrzymanie terroru politycznego zmierzającego do całkowitego zniewolenia patriotycznych środowisk w Polsce za pomocą terroru neo-komunistycznego!

Pamiętajmy, że jeszcze Polska nie zginęła
póki my, polscy patrioci, żyjemy!

Poland at the end of WWII

Eighty years have passed since the end of WWII, the most devastating war in 1000 years of the history of Poland. Attacked by Nazi Germany from the West and the Soviet Union from the East, Poland suffered the greatest human, material and non-material losses among all the nations impacted by this conflict.

Despite being the First Ally of the winning coalition, Poland lost its independence as a result of WWII to the Soviet Union and continued to suffer under the brutal Stalinist regime for decades to come. To this day, Poland has not received any war reparations either from Germany or the Soviet Union and its successor, Russia.

Essay:

In your essay, please analyze the following issues: 1) the significance of the 1943 death of General Władysław Sikorski in Gibraltar – causes and consequences; 2) Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin Tehran Conference;  3) The Polish-Soviet relations in the Allied Coalition 1941-1945; 4) The Yalta Agreement and its consequences; 5) the drama of the Invincible Soldiers; 6) the demise of the legitimate Polish Government in London;  7) the demise of the Polish Army in the West; 8) the Cold War; 9) was the betrayal of the First Ally worthy?

Essay Requirements:

The essay shall reflect the contestant’s own research and original thinking. AI usage is not allowed.

The paper shall have no less than 10 pages but shall not exceed 20 typed pages (including bibliography); shall be typed in 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1” margins; pages shall be numbered. The essay shall be submitted in the English language. All entries become the property of the Polonia Institute.

Eligibility:

The 2025 Essay Competition on the History of Poland is open to adults at least 18 years and older as of October 1, 2025. Proof of age is required. A copy of a valid document showing the date of birth is acceptable.

Deadline:

October 1, 2025. Results will be announced on or about November 11, 2025.

With a heavy heart, Polonia Institute pays tribute to our dearest friend Gordon Black who passed away on March 21, 2024, in Fort Bragg,  California.

Gordon personified the Renaissance Man of today. A poet, teacher, and gentleman, Gordon was truly a great man. A friend of all arts, he was an actor, musician, broadcaster, promoter, and esteemed theater star.

Additionally, for well over a decade, Gordon had been hosting a classical music radio program titled “The Wondrous World of Music” at KZYX Public Radio in Mendocino County. In this program, Gordon frequently played the music of his beloved composer Frederic Chopin.  As one of his listeners put it, Gordon’s program was making “Friday mornings a delight with his dulcet tones and excellent selections of classical music.”

Above all, Gordon Black was a great Polish patriot, very dedicated to the Polish cause, and an inspirational leader to many of us.  His contribution to our community is enormous and will have a lasting impact on future generations.  The Polish American community is very proud of having Gordon Black among us.  He will live in our hearts forever.

With a heavy heart, we present one of the last poems written by Gordon Black for the New Year.

Polonia Institute Announces 2024 Competition on the History of Poland 

The Battle for Rome and the Battle for Warsaw 80 years later

Compare and contrast both battles

First Prize – $3,000

The Battle for Rome, also known as the Battle of Monte Cassino, was of primary importance to the Allied effort to defeat the Axis Coalition in World War II. The Monte Cassino Monastery, well-fortified by the Germans, stood in the way of the Allied effort to take over Rome.

On May 16, 1944, the Polish Second Corps launched the final assault on the Germans at Monte Cassino. On May 18, 1944, soldiers of the Polish Second Corps raised the Polish flag over the ruins of the Monte Cassino Monastery. As a result of this historic Polish victory, the German Senger Defense Line collapsed.

The Battle for Warsaw, also known as the Warsaw Uprising, was a major World War II operation to liberate Poland from German occupation. The battle began on August 1, 1944, as part of a nationwide Operation Tempest, launched at the time of the Soviets advancing towards Berlin. The main Polish objectives were to drive the Germans out of Warsaw while helping the Allies defeat Germany. But it was equally important to liberate Warsaw with the Polish armed forces before the Soviets reached Warsaw on their way to Berlin.

Essay:

In your essay, please analyze the following issues: 1) The formation of the Second Polish Corp in the Middle East; 2) Political considerations of sending the Polish Second Corp to the Italian front, 3) The Polish victory in the Battle of Monte Cassino; 4) The impact of the victory at Monte Cassino on the people in occupied Poland; 5) Dilemmas of the Polish Government in London how to liberate Poland; 6) Operation Tempest; 7) The Battle for Warsaw; 8) Political struggle in the Allied Coalition over the support to Warsaw; 9) Russian game over Poland; 10) Liberation of Paris; 11) Fall of Warsaw; 12) German demolition of Warsaw after the surrender; 13) compare and contrast results of both battles; 14) analyze the differences.
